Veronique Van Asch

After my studies in plastic arts, window dressing, set and stand construction, I got to know sculpting and ceramics and immediately felt that this was "my thing".
From 1993 to 1999 I attended evening school in sculpting at the municipal art academy "Academia" in Borsbeek. Supplemented with two years of specialization in sculpting-painting and graduated in 2001.

From that moment on I work in my own studio.

After having been active as a ceramist-sculptor for ten years, it was time for an additional challenge and I also started designing and creating jewelry and decorative pieces in ceramics. In 2014 I obtained the diploma in jewelry making and design at the Center for Distance Learning in Antwerp.

In the meantime I have also successfully completed a training as a gallery owner.

My works are all unique, self-designed art objects, in which I mainly find a way to express my deepest feelings with a lot of feeling and passion. My oeuvre is very versatile and ranges from sculpted images to making jewelry and decorations, which may or may not be glazed. My own, usually playful and very recognizable style runs like a red thread through my collection.
Each design is stamped 'VVA'.

I also decided to pass on my knowledge and organize ceramic workshops in my own studio in Ranst.
